About the role:

As the CPO, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of our product portfolio in a thriving and profitable business. We are looking for a visionary leader who not only has a strong technical background, but also has a passion for the automotive industry and a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs.

You will collaborate closely with the executive team and key stakeholders to define and implement a product roadmap that aligns with our business goals, customer needs, and market trends. This is a leadership position where you will manage a team of three direct reports: Head of Engineering, UX/UI, and Product Management.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy, roadmap, and vision that aligns with the company's business objectives and market demands.
  • Lead the product management function, ensuring the delivery of innovative, high-quality products that meet customer expectations and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to define and prioritize product initiatives, balancing short-term goals with long-term strategic vision.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing product enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project milestones.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and product opportunities, translating them into actionable product requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management, incorporating relevant insights into the company's product strategy and roadmap.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, promoting cross-functional collaboration and effective communication within the product team and across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain robust connections with internal teams (sales, marketing, customer success, engineering) for coordinated product launches, while also cultivating external relationships (customers, partners, investors, suppliers) to advance the platform's ecosystem.
  • Oversee the refactoring of the platform, operationally lead by the head of engineering, supervise, provide support from a staffing, outsourcing, and project management perspective.
  • Build and form the overall Product team and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the direct reports (Head of Engineering, UX/UI, and Product Management), fostering their professional growth and driving their team's success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) is required; advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading product management and development in a B2B SaaS company, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and executing product strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Solid technical understanding and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and UX/UI teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and other languages are a plus.
