Want to work for a fast-growing and market-leading start-up? We are currently seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, SQL Querying, Tableau, and Tableau Prep to provide critical insights and drive data-informed decision-making across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a vital role in optimising the success of our customers on the FoodByUs platform, both buyers and suppliers. You will collaborate with various departments, including sales, operations, and marketing, to identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.

Your Responsibilities
- Utilise your advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets and Tableau to analyse and interpret complex data sets, providing actionable insights to drive business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve operational and sales-related challenges using data-driven approaches
- Query databases using SQL language to extract and retrieve relevant data for analysis
- Manage the Tableau Prep data flow to ensure that the correct information is available for analysis
- Develop and maintain reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs), measuring the success of projects and initiatives.
- Design and implement data visualisations and dashboards using Tableau, ensuring information is presented in a clear and meaningful manner.
- Provide support and guidance to team members on data analysis techniques and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, although candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and Tableau Prep experience. Our interview process will include a deep dive practical case study in which these specific skills will be tested
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights to drive business growth
- Proficiency in querying databases using SQL language to retrieve and analyse data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and driving data initiatives
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry or a related field is a plus
