Valmet’s Service Business Line is currently looking for a Manager, Services Development who will contribute our vision of becoming the global champion in serving our customers performance and in moving the industry forward. The role is a part of our excellent Services Development team in the Services Business Line.
The Service is dynamic business line at Valmet, where we develop products, services, customer solutions and business models and, in its role, supports areas in their sales and customer deliveries. The role of the Service Development team is to oversee selected development projects as part of the business line’s responsibilities, focusing on the design of strategically significant areas.
As a Manager, Services Development, selected person will:

Act as a project manager in agreed development projects related to the strategic priorities of the Service Business Line, mainly focusing on sales, agreements, and new service offering.

Ensure that cross-functional teams progress in the planned direction, facilitate collaboration and discussions to lead projects and teams forward, decide on priorities, and align with the portfolio level when required.

Actively explore and capitalize on opportunities from the market to strengthen future growth in the services business.

Participate in concept and solution launches and executions when required.

Work as a responsible trainer in your own area of expertise at Valmet.
We believe that you have:
-
a master’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

a minimum of 5 years of experience would be advantageous, giving you a good understanding of the B2B environment in the technology industry.

strong expertise of project work.

fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-
positive and solution-oriented attitude, with strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both in a matrix and independently to deliver results.

good communication and networking skills.

flexibility, friendliness, and a sense of humor.

motivation to take on new challenges.

opportunity to travel globally about 50 days a year.
Manager, Services Development reports to VP, Service Development and location of the position is one of following: Järvenpää, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Gothenburg, Karlstad or Sundsvall.
Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
